WELCOME

to the 9th ISHS International Strawberry Symposium

The Polytechnic University of Marche and the Council for Agricultural Research and Economics (CREA), in conjunction with the ISHS are delighted to invite you at the
9th ISHS International Strawberry Symposium (ISHS-ISS2021)
that will take place in
Rimini, May 1-5, 2021.

After the 2016 International Strawberry Symposium held in Quebec, this edition will follow the new ISHS2.0 approach, aiming to bridge the gap between academia and strawberry industries, involving everyone interested in strawberry, from research, production, industries, market and consumers.

The ISHS-ISS2021 will be accessible to experts in the world, in particular from developing countries where the strawberry production is expanding not only as an industry but also as an opportunity of rural development and improvement of quality life.
The scientists will have the opportunity to present the most updated scientific results, to meet colleagues for further scientific and technical exchange, for developing ideas for new scientific projects and new interdisciplinary and applied collaborations.

ISHS-ISS2021 is not only Rimini. Guided Pre- and Post-tours to our Southern and Northern production areas as well as the Berry School, will let you learn about the highly diversified Italian Strawberry production system. Young scientists and technical experts will be trained on strawberry breeding and cultivation systems.

Last but not least! On May 5th ISHS-ISS2021 will organize an extra day inside MACFRUT, a professional fair with visitors from all over the world with more than 1.200 professionals and 40 countries representing the five continents. A pavilion will be fully dedicated to ISS strawberry exhibitions, space for brief meetings and dissemination activities will also be available.

We look forward to welcome and meet you at ISHS- ISS2021 next May 1-5, 2021 in Rimini!
